Let's play dress up?

OK...so, again up north...we all went to cousin Lukes basketball game. Caet leans over to cousin Tayler..."Papa (Ken) really likes to wear dresses, but doesn't always get to."
Hmmmm????

Icey Hot!!!

Really....Icey/Hot. So on Thanksgiving day Caet decided that it would be a faboo idea to put Icey/Hot all the way up her arms. Lovely...A very "warm" minty 5 year old...Lovely....

Trip to hell

Ok...I am being serious. Trip to hell...well hell was on the way here. Here is what happened. This year for Thanksgiving, we thought we would go up north. You see, we haven't see Chris' family for a few years, so we pack up and off we go. We left today to drive half way. We stop at is gas station to go pee and so on. The girls decide that they want to watch a movie. I get the laptop out and start to fiddle with it... Then BAM!!! REAR ENDED. You have got to be kidding me. This young man jumps out, "My parents are going to kill me!" This Expedition smashes into my bumper. Caet is screaming, Conor is crying, and there is me, Captain Obvious..."Oh, we were just rear ended." blah blah blah, we exchange info, there happened to be a cop there filling up. The young man from Florida has never seen black ice. Dun and on our way...untillllllllllllllll
OVER SIZED EFFIN LOAD THAT BLOCKS THE ENTIRE INTERSTATE!!!! So on we drive behind this OSL going like negative. Then....Caet has to pee. Yes, Caet has to pee. We just stopped 10 minutes ago, but she didn't want to go in that potty.
So we finally made it half way. A bit worse for the wear...Oh well. Pray for tomorrow!!!

A very sterile 2 hour delay.

Ok, so not much went down here today. The kids had a two hour delay. Yes, we got like maybe 7 inches of snow. (Not Enthused voice) wow. Caet was a bit confused. This was her first "delay." She was the first to get up. She woke me up and told me she wasn't hungry, but she wanted to know if they were going to ride the bus. I am still trying to figure out the connection between the two of those thoughts.
Sooooooo...she ate, she got dressed, she played with Conor. Then she stood at the sliding glass door with me to watch the birds. She said, "Mom look. The snow is so pretty. It's sterile white."
I am dumbfounded. How does one answer a five year old when they say stuff like this.

Francois??

I just remembered this as I was posting the last blog about Caet's teacher, Mrs. Zechman.
Last week I had parent/teacher conferences. Now, 'round these parts, parent/teacher conferences are sort of a big deal. They start on a Thursday and continue the following Friday. Ever student in all of the schools from Kindergarten to Eighth grade get Friday as an in service day. The teachers get lunch brought in to them. Like I said, big deal.
Anywho...back on track...Mrs Zechman met with Chrystan and I. (You see, Chris was in NJ working. Chrystan wanted to see just what was so special about these meetings.) Mrs. Zechman proceded to tell us that Caety was referred to as "CaetyP." (That's where I got the name MommyP.) CaetyP was one in a million. Now I know this, I raised this monster, i mean child. My heart started to pound. All I could see is this little blond hair, blue eyed little girl running around stark naked with something that resembles a flag wedged in her butt crack. Her own rendition 0f Patrick Star on the Sponge-bob movie. But, NO. Mrs. Zechman said that CaetyP is soft spoken, neat little lady. She is smart, at the top of the reading group. Her work is always neat and done correctly. She assists the other children in a non-threatening way. OK...Hold the phone. Are we talking about the same CaetyP. I almost started digging for a picture of her so we could, in fact, confirm that this was the same child. Mrs. Z wanted to know if what she had heard about CaetyP being a bit off the wall was true. Chrystan giggled a bit. Mrs. Z said that she thinks that she heard a touch of crazy Caety one day...She said that the CaetyP that she knows doesn't like to be wrong. One day in class CaetyP pronounced something incorrectly. Caet just got this look on her face and said that is how they pronounce it in French. Hmmm...I just don't know what to say about that....

Everyone is sleeeeeeeping!!!

OK...everyone is sleeeeeping. I am watching Niteline. Everything is calm. I look outside and BAM!!!! Friggin snow. Snow. Snow. Caet is excited. I am depressed. The thought of this white crap is enough to make me want to cry. Or drink. Haven't really deciphered the feeling quite yet. They seem to be so similar. When the white, fluffy product of the devil was falling from the sky, Miss Caetlyn begged me to call her teacher. Mrs Zechman is insanely similar to Caet. She has a bizarre sort of personality. They click. Anyway, she wanted me to call Mrs. Zechman because she promised her students that when it started to snow, she would be dancing in her pjs on her deck. "Mom, we have to call her. She needs to dance."

Fear of flying...

Ok. So the reason I started this blog is so everyone can see what goes on here. For example...Caetlyn and I were on our way to school. Chrystan must have been home sick. Anyway, Caet asked me if I could, would I like to fly. I tried to explain to her that I am not a big fan of flying, however if I absolutely had to, I would do it again. She said, no mom, I mean fly. We should invent a flying machine...The thrill and excitement in her voice nearly made me pee my pants. I had to tell her..."Caet, there are such things as flying machines. They are called airplanes." She was silent, followed by hysterical laughing..."Oh yeah, I forgot about those!"
This is why I need to blog.

New to Blogging...it's a start!

Hello all. If you are reading this, you have some sort of connection to me. I assure you this blog will not be intelligent, it will not solve the worlds problems, it surely wont cure childhood illnesses, but it will be fun.

I read my sister Jen's blog...not often...but often enough to realize that she misses the silly things that happen every day here. SO....if I blog, you all can read and enjoy. By the end of the first few blogs, you will all understand my sanity level...or lack there of!!!

So, first off. I will share a picture of my babies. Chrystan is 11, Conor is almost 6 months and Caety is 5. As you can see, she is the one who keeps me, well ummm...why there isn't more alcohol in this house is beyond me...;)
