saaaweeet summa time :)

Okay then...I tried to post with no avail...I hit the enter key after naming this post...ooopsie ;)

I finally got on this and noticed that I haven't posted anything since January. So much has gone on since then, but hell if I'd remember. Summertime is here. The kids are home and I would love to see them go back :P~~~ Most of the time they are good, however...one ticks off the other and starts a round of war. We know how that is...we have siblings.
So...Chrystan will be in 8th grade this year. Seems that her middle school drama has been minimal to say the least, thank GOD! I know many of us have had rather swallowed broken glass than go through the aches of middle school. She is smart, athletic and an all around good kid. I have been fortunate to be a part of her life. I have been blessed!
On to Caet! Caet is going to be in second grade this fall. SECOND GRADE!!!! Oh my word. The time flies, doesn't it? She had a pretty good first grade experience. A few bumps along the road, but she passed with flying colors. She is also very smart. She is a child who just has to know why things happen. Telling her doesn't get the point across...she has to actually do the experiment to see just why. Tends to get awfully messy, but the mess is short lived, as she will grow up someday.
Then there's Conor. Conor is in the "terrible two" phase. My girls kind of missed that all together so I am getting it 100,oo0%. Of course when he doesn't get his way, he will let you know by a slap, scratch or scream. He is really smart. He has known his alphabet and colors for quite a while. We are working on shapes and colors now. He can form full sentences wonderfully. Some of his favs are "Who is that, mom?" "Where's Caet?" And then there are the "dammits" shits" and other swear words he's absorbed into his vocab. Oh well. I would rather him get it out of his system now. Preschool will be happening next fall, and I don't want him spouting these words there ;)
Hope everyone has a wonderful 4th and fabooo summer!!!

Another Day~

Okay...so I know...it's been a while. Some much needed updating is in order. I feel terrible that I haven't had any time to do this. Actually, I don't have time now, but oh well :P

Let's start at the top.
Chrystan is doing well. We are approaching the much dreaded teenage years. These years are tough. It's much tougher to have to contend with another mother. She wants her freedom, but gets it taken away much of the time. She is really a good kid. She fights with her sister, helps out with her brother (every once in a while) and she does well in school. I can't really complain. It could be worse I suppose :)
Caet...now Caet...Caet is her usual self. She is sick at the moment. The "flu bug" is hitting the school pretty hard. Apparently there was a 1st grade class that only had 10 students in it. She is doing well in all of her subjects, however I think she is getting a bit board. I also have a feeling that the teacher likes to single her out. She gets in trouble, well, a lot. Silly things really, but it makes her really upset when she is sure it's the other child's fault. She is clever and smart. The other day her father was showing her a card trick. The trick is he pulls out 2 red queens and 2 black kings. He then does something silly and ends up with 2 red kings and 2 black queens. Most people will sit there in amazement at the trick. Caet didn't skip a beat and told her father that they were, in fact, different suits. Only true Hutchins blood could have picked that out :D
On to Conor-the amazing screaming boy. I tell you, this boy screams more than any kid I have ever encountered. I mean, holy crap!!! He is now speaking a few full sentences. To my amazement. I asked him where the remote was, he answered "mote?" "I don't know where it is." The phrase of the day, he dropped something, screamed and said "don't do that!" I am amazed all over again what these children pick up. Of course the usual swearing. I am thankful that only I can usually understand the swearing, but soon enough he will say it loud and clear and probably during mass :)
Have a great day!!!

"Capatillers"

We went to NY to see Chris' fam over the holiday weekend. His cousin is preggo with twins, so they held her babies shower :)

On Sunday, before we left, Caet was playing with a white Capatiller (that's what she calls them). Later on that day, she discovered a rash all over her tummy. This rash was really itchy. I gave her benadryl when we got home and it seemed to help just a little bit. Monday came and went and it seem to fade a lot. I sent her to school on Tuesday and the nurse called and told Chris we needed to go get Caety from school because she didn't know what the rash was and didn't know if it was contagious. I don't recall any rash that was contagious. If it were dangerous at all, it would be the primary illness that would be the problem. Not the secondary rash. Anyhooooo...I called the dr's office before I left the house and they said to bring her right in. I got there and they told me that there were a total of 7 rash cases that day alone. Dr said that it was an allergy and gave her some allergy meds, a note and sent her back to school.
Thursday night, Caet and Tanza were in the back yard playing and found another Caterpillar. This one was yellow and black, rather than white. Tanza took it home to bring in to her teacher on Friday. Wendy called Friday morning and asked if Caet had played with the evil worm. Caet said she didn't and Wen told me that Tanza was covered in itchy hives. Upon doing research , these caterpillars are toxic. There little hairs release from there body and they actually have a venom in them. They cause hives and other skin irritations.
Friends don't let friends play with capatillers :P

what to do?

I hope this is a phase. Caet has become quite destructive. If I was even remotely that destructive, I pity my poor mother. This kid will send me into a stroke before I am thirty. So what do I do? How can I make Caet see that this isn't really who she needs to be or who she wants to be. Chrystan has had many crafty things completely ruined and now sitting in a landfill. Any suggestions?

sorry about the lack of updates

I haven't really had anything to blog about. My daily routine is: Jump outta bed because the phone is ringing or the state workers are paving my road and are obscenely loud. I then try to make sense of the crazy ass dream I had. After shaking that off, I walk wearily into the kitchen to drink the nearly 4 hour old coffee. I find that I am completely out of fat free Coffeemate, I curse at the refridge and get the crappy off brand powder stuff from the cupboard. I then sit to check my FB page and email. Realizing that I am a FB junky and I should really check into some sort of rehab. All this fun is followed by a baby who has decided to throw his binki on the floor, rip off his diaper and pee between the slats in his crib nearly nailing the biniki that's sitting on the floor (by the puddle of pee.) I walk in and the only thing this kid says to me is "UH OHHH!" How could you not laugh at a 14 month old, standing stark naked pointing his doodle between the slats? Then comes the war of breakfast. First, Conor gets his usual Cheerios and juice. After devouring the first round and looking at me like I haven't fed him it what seems like months, I give him round 2. He gets board and decided the Cheerios look much better everywhere else. One swipe of his tiny little hand and *POOF* 85% of his Cheerios are on the kitchen floor. I call it a war zone because as you make your way towards him, you step on the land mines he has so strategically placed around him. I, again, curse under my breath (I learned the hard way that these little buggers are quite the sponge and eventually everything you say will get repeated in the most inappropriate places.) I know God has a sense of humor, but the older ladies in church look at you in complete disgust. Okay, back to the Cheerio situation. I go for the reliable Swiffer Sweeper Vac. I pull it outta the closet and turn the sucker (literally) on only to find out that the last individual that used the stupid thing forgot to plug it back in to charge. I am left with a dead Vac, cheerios all over the floor and now...now some of the cheerios are crushed. Again cue the swearing. Meanwhile, Conor is screaming at the top of his lungs because he no longer has anything to shove into his mouth. I find something to give him, usually the puffs work for a while. As I turn to put puffs on his tray I realize that the spill proof sippy cup is not really spill proof. I step in juice and now the floor is sticky and covered with cheerios.
Cue Caet, stage right. Nekkid as the day she was born. "Mom, what day is it?" I have to fish out the calender because it seemed like it was just Sunday or Thursday. "I don't know Caet." She continues on with the "I'm hungry" thing. We argue about breakfast for a few minutes until I cave and make her Ramen Noodles. I know, gross. She likes it, she is not wining, and there has to be some sort of nutritional value in those things. It's a win-win.
About an hour later, Chrystan decides to grace us with her presence. Wild hair and all. She wearily walks to the coffee pot, makes herself a cup and also is mad because there is not fat free Coffeemate. I think if i allowed it, she would have cursed the fridge too. She finds something to eat. I try to get some stuff cleaned up. I haven't figured out why I even attempt to clean. You would think that I feed, clothe, launder enough for an army. Conor gets down from eating and he drops enough food from his diaper and other crevasses to feed a third world country. Caet decided after one healthy heaping serving of Ramen (which she call ra-mon emphasis on the ra) she wants to eat whatever crunchies available. She eats these on the couch, and for some reason misses the large gaping hole in her head we call a mouth. How she misses that thing is beyond comprehension. I fetch the Swiffer only to realize the previous mishap in the kitchen. Okay, leave the crumbs until later. Note: it is now almost noon, I haven't showered yet, and Chrystan has already made plans for the evening. She wants to go with her mother, but 15 minutes before she is supposed to leave, she decides she doesn't want to go again. That is how my day usually starts. Any questions?

Hot!!!

I again apologize for my lack of updating. We are busy here with soccer and softball. It is all coming to an end...THANK THE GOOOOOOOOOD LORD!!!!

Anyway, so last night we went to the grocery store at like 8pm. Yeah, kinda late, but hey...there was almost no one there and we didn't have to wait in line.

After that we went o Sheetz to get coffee and gas. Caet decided that she would get a Mt. Dew slushie thingie. She looked at me and said, "HAHA, I got Mt. Dew and that doesn't make you too happy, does it mom?" I told her no. She said, "Boy Mom, your hot when your mad. Isn't she daddy, she's really hot when she's mad?"

Okay then....

todays fun..

i will have to go backwards on today's events...
on our way to grammy's tonight we saw a rabbit that seemed so tame. caet said oh there's a hare. then she was silent. i thought she was saying that she found a hair, but apparently she was claiming that there was indeed a hare.

caet has decided that she was turning into a crazy old woman...

so, while i was with chrystan practicing for softball, taylor (their cousin) was hanging out with her and playing on the playground equipment. caet got this juice called bug juice. taylor tried it and said it was gross. caet said that she also tried it and at first it was gross, then she got rid of some of her taste buds and it's okay now.

caet was watching, i think it was the discovery channel, and she came running in and asked me if i have ever been to argentina...i told her no...then she came running into conor's room to ask me if we live in america...i told her that we live in north america. she did the whew sound and said that it was really good we don't live in south america, there are too many scary animals there...

i think that there is more, but i just can't remember them right now...

when i grow up..

caet has decided that she wants to grow up to be a beat box!

hmmm...i just don't know what to say...

hmmm...

So I was informed that I needed to blog more often. Your right aunt Snoozie...what is the point of I am not going to keep up with it. So here goes.

Chrystan is doing well. She is playing on an elite team for basketball. She is really good, however there is one father that has decided that he is going to help coach. He tells the girls that they do nothing right, and they waste his time. He is mean and nasty to them. All of them except his own daughter who plays by herself. It's a tough situation, but my hot head will have to take care of it. He WILL NOT yell at my daughter like that.

On to Caet. Presently she is playing Call of Duty. It's an army type game on the ps3. I prolly shouldn't let her play, but she doesn't have bad dreams about stuff like this. She recently watched "The Leprachaun" thought that was funny. I didn't know she watched that movie until it was already over. Well today, daddy decided to make dinner for Conor in the blender...what we ate tonight. Caet yells..."what the hell was that?" Chrystan asked her to repeat. She wouldn't. I think she knew she shouldn't have said that, but it just rolled off of her tongue like she says it all of the time. I told her that was unacceptable. She told me that her friend say it all of the time. I asked her which ones. She told me "this girl." I have been searching for an excuse to tell Caet to stay away from her. This is perfect.

Conor is doing well. Still crawling like an inch worm in combat. He is always yelling at everyone. MAMA, DADA and DAAAAA (i think that is Caet, but my baby translating dictionary is on backorder!)

That is about it for here. How is everyone else doing?

Hallmark

Ok, so I am sorry I haven't posted anything recently. I have been too busy being super mom to actually sit down and barely check email. The other day, Caet was not feeling well, she actually has a sinus infection and some fluid on her ear. Anyway, her teacher was out for almost 2 weeks due to her ailing mother and finally her mother's passing. Miss Caet wanted to make her a sympathy card. She brought it to me and it said, "I'm sorry your mom's dead."

ok, so a job at Hallmark isn't in her future...

Well...

We were at my mother-in-law's house and Caet and her cousin Ava were playing and Caet got pinched somehow...Nina (that's what Caet calls her) asked Caet how in God's green earth did Ava pinch Caet's finger. Caet's reply, "Well, it all happened on a Monday..."

lovin the blue eyed girl

First off, I have to apologize for not keeping up with this. It's so crazy busy here. Sooo, off I go. Last Friday i had the pleasure of helping the kindergarten with their Valentine's Day party. Now to five you a background, Thursday was the original day for the party as the school had Friday off for the weekend. Friday then became a snow make-up day, so the party was moved to Friday. Caet neglected to tell me this, so I showed up Thurdsay. Caet got a really good giggle out of it, and the teacher who is extremely receptive to parents showing up and helping any time. I got to stay and help out with the class. That was quite fufiling. Anyhoo...on to the party. On my way up, Blake's mom Nikki walked up and informed me that he had a dream the night before. He was kissing his girlfriend. It was Caety P, but they were a lot older.
Boy #2...Little Hunter's Mimi (grandmother) had informed me that while she was helping him write out his Valentines, he got to Caety P's name and he said that he really liked Caety P. She asked him why, what makes her so special. He said that he just liked the way she dressed and she was really funny. He put a heart on her Valentine. No one else got a heart on their Valentine from Hunter.

Turkey

I am so very sorry to keep you waiting on the whole Caetisms...I have been terribly busy and I have only been on the puter enough to check email occasionally.
So tonight is your treat...
Caet was standing at the fridge looking at a turkey decoration that she made in kindergarten. She says, "I wonder why turkeys have no hands." I had to make her repeat herself a few times...hehe
ADD:: I forgot to put in here that I told her it's becuase they have no arms. She laughed hysterically!
BTW...
MERRRRRRRRY CHRISTMAS, BURT!!

Pretty on me...

Ok, so some how Caet and I got on the discussion that Aunt Kate was going to have a baby in January. She asked me what day, and I said that the doctor thinks it will be on the 25th. Then we discussed that this was merely a suggestion. She was born later than their suggest date for her, and Conor was a bit early. I was explaining to her that she was a beautiful baby with thick dark hair. She said to me, " Then it changed to blond. I like this color, I think it looks good on me. Yeah it's pretty on me."

OMG!!!

I am truly trying to keep up with the hole Caet thing, but it's hard...really hard!!
Last night TT, Jason and Ava (Chris' sister and so on...) came over for dinner. As they were leaving Caet was all like "OMG....I can totally get a hug from my gramma, lemme see some lip action"...welp...that's 'nuff Disney Channel.

Pretty like me..

Ok, So today we were watching "Journey to the Center of the Earth" staring Brendan Fraiser. It was in 3D and on Blue Ray. Very wild. We stopped to have a pee, make a bottle, let the dog out break and Chrystan and Caet were on the floor fooling around. Caet was laying on top of Chrystan and Chrystan said that she wished that she was just as pretty as Caet. I said that she was. She was lucky to look just like her daddy. Caet stood up and piped "Yeah and your dad is sexy." "You are sooooooooooooooooo lucky..."
I suppose I should probably do something when she says stuff like that, however...I just don't know what to do. I am usually biting my cheeks....
