Francois??

I just remembered this as I was posting the last blog about Caet's teacher, Mrs. Zechman.
Last week I had parent/teacher conferences. Now, 'round these parts, parent/teacher conferences are sort of a big deal. They start on a Thursday and continue the following Friday. Ever student in all of the schools from Kindergarten to Eighth grade get Friday as an in service day. The teachers get lunch brought in to them. Like I said, big deal.
Anywho...back on track...Mrs Zechman met with Chrystan and I. (You see, Chris was in NJ working. Chrystan wanted to see just what was so special about these meetings.) Mrs. Zechman proceded to tell us that Caety was referred to as "CaetyP." (That's where I got the name MommyP.) CaetyP was one in a million. Now I know this, I raised this monster, i mean child. My heart started to pound. All I could see is this little blond hair, blue eyed little girl running around stark naked with something that resembles a flag wedged in her butt crack. Her own rendition 0f Patrick Star on the Sponge-bob movie. But, NO. Mrs. Zechman said that CaetyP is soft spoken, neat little lady. She is smart, at the top of the reading group. Her work is always neat and done correctly. She assists the other children in a non-threatening way. OK...Hold the phone. Are we talking about the same CaetyP. I almost started digging for a picture of her so we could, in fact, confirm that this was the same child. Mrs. Z wanted to know if what she had heard about CaetyP being a bit off the wall was true. Chrystan giggled a bit. Mrs. Z said that she thinks that she heard a touch of crazy Caety one day...She said that the CaetyP that she knows doesn't like to be wrong. One day in class CaetyP pronounced something incorrectly. Caet just got this look on her face and said that is how they pronounce it in French. Hmmm...I just don't know what to say about that....

Like my friend Amy says, good at home or good at school...I'll take good at school. Less parent conferences that way
